Important Reminder:
As highlighted in the bookour prayers must be:
• Pure – no hidden sin or unforgiveness = unhindered
• Passionate – fervent prayer of the righteous = very effective (James 5:16)
• Persistent – relentless = until will see the answers!

1. Pray for a Great Awakening All Across America

We recommend this include:

• Pray that God in His great mercy would descend upon our land with the convicting power of the Holy Spirit and bring our nation to it’s knees in repentance and in the Greatest Awakening ever seen, from God’s House, to the White House, and throughout every city, community, and home in America.

• Pray that God would open up the eyes of the spiritually blind and backslidden to see how great their sin, how great God’s love, and how great their need is for Christ and His righteous ways.

• Pray that the prodigals all across America would hear the voice of the Father calling them home and that they would come running back to God and His house.

• Pray for the Glory of God and His Spirit to be poured out like rain upon our Churches, upon our nation, and throughout the earth.

(see #4 for additional prayer regarding our nation)

2. Pray for the Five-fold Ministry (the Pulpits):

Change must begin with the Spiritual leaders in our land.
We recommend this prayer include:

• Pray for a Great Awakening and cleansing in the pulpits and ministries all across America – that Pastors would have a personal Great Awakening and encounter with God that would bring great change!

• Pray the five-fold ministry would raise up a standard before the Church and lead the way in purity, humility, repentance, prayer, and in unity.

• Pray that Pastors across America would build God’s House according to His specifications – as a House of Prayer as Jesus declared it to be.

• Pray that God would  baptize them with fire, with courage, strength, boldness, with truth and with His perfect love – so sinners will be brought to their knees as they speak!

• Pray that our Spiritual leaders will not give in to the tremendous pressure in our culture to compromise the truth. Pray they would fear God more than man and live first and foremost for God’s pleasure and approval – totally devoted to Him.

• Pray they would be salt and light and take a stand for righteousness in our land. Pray that God would use them to speak to the moral issues of our day.

• Pray for unity, for God’s leaders and the body of Christ to work together as one, with one heart, one mind, and in one accord.

• Pray for a genuine heart of repentance and brokenness on behalf of our churches and our nation.

• Pray for a Revival of Truth in the Pulpits all across America.

• Pray they would be led by the Holy Spirit and according to His Word. Pray that God would give them great wisdom and discernment during these times of great compromise and deception.

• Pray that they would know God, be strong and do exploits for the Kingdom (Dan 11:32b), staying close to God, being men and women of faith and prayer.

• Pray for Pastors and their families,  for God’s hand of protection, for His strength, His wisdom and His presence to cover and protect them.

3. Pray for the Church (the Pews):

We recommend this prayer include:

• Pray that churches all across America would become Houses of Prayer, making prayer a high priority.

• Pray for genuine repentance, and a great cleansing and purifying throughout, to prepare the glorious Church to rise up and be salt and light, impacting America and the nations.

• Pray God’s people would become fully devoted followers of Christ, laying down their lives as living sacrifices, holy and acceptable to Him.

• Pray God’s people would have a heart for souls and would seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness.

• Pray God’s people would know God, draw near to Him, be discerning and doers of His Word.

• Pray God’s people would be people of faith, walking in the fullness of the Holy Spirit and doing the greater works that Jesus declared we should do.

• Pray the Church lead the way in loving and caring for the poor, the needy, the sick and broken, those in bondage, the orphans and the widows. To be the greatest humanitarian outreach in time of great need and shine bright with the gospel and light of Jesus Christ, to be a “light to the nations”.

• Pray according to Ephesians 4:12

That God’s people will be equipped for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

That we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming.

Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ.

• Pray for unity in God’s House, for a perfect and fervent love.

 4. Pray for the Nation (the Multitudes):

We recommend this prayer include:

• Pray for our nation’s leaders at all levels — federal, state, and local. Those in the White House, the Congress, Supreme Court, for Governors, Mayors, our Military, Law Enforcement and Civil Servants. (See the “Honor and Pray for Leadership” note at the end of this chapter.)

• Pray for Godly counsel to surround the President and our nation’s leaders.

• Pray for righteous judges and judgments.

• Pray America would fall to her knees under the convicting power of the Holy Spirit from the West Coast to the East Coast.

• Pray America would humble herself before God in genuine Repentance and Prayer, and that her eyes would be opened to see how great her sin, how great God’s love is, and how desperate her need is for Christ and His ways.

• Pray for blinded eyes to be opened and a genuine heart of repentance those living in sin – for the broken covenants (divorce), for immorality, perversion, adultery, and homosexuality, for idolatry and greed, and for the shedding of innocent blood (murder and abortion).

• Pray the eyes of the doctors performing abortions would be opened to the horrific murders they are commiting. Pray they would have an encounter with Christ and truth like Saul on the road to Damascus. By the power of Christ He was transformed from killing Christians to saving and helping them! Pray the abortion Doctors would be changed in such a way that God would use them to save these children rather than take their lives.

• Pray for corruption to be rooted out of our government, political, and judicial system, and businesses. And that integrity, righteousness and justice will prevail in our land. Pray we would love our neighbor as ourselves.

• Pray for a fundamental rebirth of this nation in righteousness and truth.

• Pray for a great Reformation across America, in our Churches and throughout depths and fabric of society. Pray the Godly foundations would be restored in our Government, in Education, in our Families, and every area of our culture – along with righteousness, honor, truth and the fear of the Lord.

• Pray for your local communities and cities. Pray our churches will shine and lead the way in caring for the poor, needy, sick, broken, orphan and widowed.

• Pray for those deceived by false religions such as Muslims, Hindus, and Buddhists, etc. Pray their eyes would be opened to the truth and the light of the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ.

• Pray for the soul of our nation, for the prodigals to come home and for the multitudes racing towards eternity to come to Christ.

• Pray that America’s leaders will heed God’s call, humble themselves and turn back to Him before great judgment comes. Pray for them to officially turn America back to Him with a “New Declaration” (See the America Has A Decision to Make chapter).

• Pray the Spirit of God would rain down upon our land,  cleansing and rooting out wickedness, rebellion, the occult and corruption.

 5. Pray for Israel and Jerusalem

• Pray our Leaders and America will fully support Israel.

• Pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

• Pray wisdom, grace, and strength for Israel’s leaders.

Imagine Christians and churches across America pouring out our prayers!

Remember The Results chapter — the results we will see when all these prayers are answered! Remember the depths of change God will bring, if we will simply unite and run with His Answer for America. “PRAY, AMERICA! PRAY!”

Special Note: Honor and Pray for Our Leaders

1 Timothy 2:1-2 “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.”

God’s Word is clear, that we are to honor and pray for our leaders. Holy Scripture says our civil leaders are public servants of God (Romans 13:3-7) and we should show respect and honor them. God puts or allows leaders in place for His plans and purposes (Daniel 5:21).

All leaders means even those we may think are bad or even evil. Realize too that one of the judgments of God on a nation is bad, foolish leadership (see Isaiah 3:4).

1 Peter 2:17 says “Fear God. Honor the king.” The king at that time was Herod Agrippa who was evil! And because Peter and other Christians did honor the king, God dealt with him in His timing and way. Notice the judgment that came upon Agrippa because of his great pride in Acts 12:23.

Demonizing a leader has no benefit. So according to God’s Word we need to pray for our leaders, especially those making the biggest decisions that affect our nation. Pray God’s will be done concerning them, then trust He will do what is necessary according to HIS plans, not ours.

Again, when we pray it moves God to deal with leaders in His way and timing. If we will simply follow God’s instructions in His Word we will be amazed what He will do.
